Inspiration for Tool and DIY people all over the world.

Save Time with Power Tools

While most small jobs around the home can be handled with regular tools, home improvement projects often require power tools. These tools save users time, energy and manpower. And due to recent advancements, power tools in Nottingham are no longer the heavy, hard-to-use machinery they once were. In this article we will discuss a home improvement project that can be completed more quickly and efficiently with power tools.

Installing window blinds is one of the most common do-it-yourself projects for new homeowners. The reason for this is simple—just about anyone can do it. All you need is a power drill, a step ladder and a tape measure. It also helps to have an extra pair of hands, which is why it is a popular project for couples.

The first and most important step is to measure the height and width of each window that will require a blind. Make certain to measure from the inside of the window frame. Then when you go shopping for blinds, give the measurements to the window treatment expert.

After you have purchased the blinds, retrieve your step ladder and power drill and begin installing them. All blinds are hung by metal brackets that must be screwed to the inside of the window frame. Make sure that both brackets are even and screw them into place with your power drill.

Once the brackets are secure, place the window blind rod in the brackets and cover it with the valance. The entire process should only take around five minutes for each window.
